The College of Health Sciences, University of Ilorin, today said the institution has produced three thousand, seven hundred and eighty-one medical doctors since inception.
Speaking at the twenty-ninth Professional Initiation and Induction Ceremony of the two hundred and three Medical Graduands of the College of Health Sciences of the institution, the Vice Chancellor, Professor Abdulganuyu Amballi, urged the new doctors to respect and treat patients with love and care.
The Vice Chancellor, who was represented by the Provost of the college, Professor Ayodele Omotoso, at the twenty thirteen initiation ceremony urged parents of the new doctors to keep supporting them.
In his address, the provost of the college urged the new doctors to affirm their social responsibility and remain committed.
According to him, the medical doctors had come to the successful terminal point, but medical education is a continuous process. He advised them to learn fast on the job.
The Chairman of the Kwara State Chapter of Nigeria Medical Association (NMA), Dr Olayinka Buhari, later counselled the new graduands.
